This unit has an overarching strategic responsibility for the protection and management of the natural environment in Buffalo City. Its main aim is to rehabilitate, conserve and manage the integrity of the City’s ecological systems with a special focus on biological diversity, cultural &natural landscapes and processes within open spaces. BCMM is therefore committed to promoting conservation, thus leading to a healthy and sustainable environment consistent with national policy and legislative imperatives.
