GENERAL VALUATION SUPPLEMENTARY VALUATION ROLL (SV01)

Notice is hereby given in terms of section 49(1)(a)(i) of the Local Government: Municipal Property Rates Act, 2004 No. 6 of

2004, hereinafter referred to as the ‘Act’, that the First Supplementary Valuation Roll (SV01) for the financial year 1 July 2023

to 30 June 2024 is open for public inspection at the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Offices, from 1st August to 31st August

2023, Monday to Friday during working hours (08h00 to 16h30). In addition the First Supplementary Valuation Roll will be

available at the BCMM’s website www.buffalocity.gov.za

An invitation is hereby made in terms of section 49(1)(a)(ii) of the Act that any owner of property or other person who so

desires should lodge an objection with the City Manager in respect of any matter reflected in, or omitted from, the First

Supplementary Valuation Roll within the above-mentioned period.

Attention is specifically drawn to the fact that in terms of section 50(2) of the Act an objection must be in relation to a specific

individual property and not against the First Supplementary Valuation Roll as such. The form for the lodging of an objection is

obtainable at the following objection sites or website;

The completed forms must be returned before 16h30 on 31st August 2023 to the abovementioned objection sites.
