BCMM COMBINED ASSURANCE WORKSHOP
BCMM Internal Audit unit is currently conducting a Combined Assurance workshop to deliver deeper insights on governance.

The workshop seeks to align assurance processes between internal audit and other assurance providers to deliver deeper insights on governance, risk, and control management to senior management and the Audit Committee.

Delivering an opening remark during the workshop, Acting Executive Mayor Yomelela Tyali said, "combined assurance speaks to the improvement and strengthening of government"..

"Good governance means that processes and institutions produce results that meet the needs of society while making the best use of resources at their disposal."

"The concept of efficiency in the context of good governance also covers the sustainable use of natural resources and the protection of the environment," said Tyali.

"Buffalo City Metro in the last audit received an unqualified audit, that means our City is improving," he said.

The workshop took place on Tuesday 27 June 2023 at the East London City Hall.
