EASTERN CAPE MSME WORKSHOP | BAMBELELA BUSINESS AWARDS | KUGOMPO CITY
For small businesses in the Eastern Cape, hope is not just a feeling. It is becoming a reality. Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality participated in the Eastern Cape Bambelela Business Awards MSME Workshop and Briefing Session at the Abbotsford Christian Centre in kuGompo City under the theme Giving Hope to Those Who Dare to Try. The awards are powered by Hollywood Foundation.

 

General Manager for Trade, Industry and Sector Development Xolelwa Mbete delivered the welcome remarks on behalf of Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality. Simo Vilakazi, Portfolio Manager at the Hollywood Foundation, outlined the background and vision of the Bambelela Business Awards.

The highlight of the workshop was a Pitch for Funding session presented by Mr Thami Zondi, Chief Director at KZN EDTEA and National Resident Judge, who guided participants on how to present a viable funding proposal ahead of tomorrow's pitching session. Zondi equipped entrepreneurs with practical tools to strengthen their business pitches.

Programme clarification and announcements were delivered by Siyanda Ntenga, Project Manager for the Bambelela Business Awards. Simangile Solwandle, Regional Manager at Hollywoodbets, delivered the closing remarks.
