This is done as part of the livestock improvement programme, it is designed to capacitate rural communities. Six communities managed to get assistance from BCMM, these are; Godidi, Handasi, Amahleke, Jobisa, and Bulembu.
The kind of equipment that they received includes, pressers, scales and tables.
Portfolio Head of Economic Development and Agencies, Cllr Mzwandile Vaaibom highlighted the importance of farmers getting organized, whether in the form of co-operatives. He also emphasized the need to follow principles when it comes to businesses.
BCMM is looking forward to support the local farmers with shearing-sheds as it was highlighted during the interac-tion with the local communities.
