BUFFALO CITY METRO WARNS THE PUBLIC ABOUT JOB SCAMS
Buffalo City Metro has been alerted that there are individuals who use of one of its employees’ identity to scam people money, claiming that they would offer them jobs. The City, therefore warns job seekers to not fall for this trap and should not pay any amount for a job offer as this behavior is

The Metro’s recruitment process is as follows and does not require job seekers to pay any fee: • A job advert is advertised on a local newspaper, BCMM website and on the Metro’s official social media platforms; • The job seeker is invited to an interview through a phone call and • After the interview candidates are called again to sign their contracts. Members of the public are urged to ignore any individuals offering them jobs and to never pay any fee for a job offer from the Metro. To report any alleged fraud, residents are encouraged to call the BCMM Ethics hotline on 0800 212 532.
