Buffalo City Children’s March
Buffalo City Metro children marched from the Queenspark Zoo to hand over a memorandum to the office of the Executive Mayor at the East London City Hall as part of the National Children Rights Day on 2nd November.

The March was organised by the Buffalo City Central Library in commemoration of Children’s Rights Day. The annual day is set for the observation and realisation of Children’s Rights.
South Africa has a high rate of child abuse and days like the National Day of observation of children’s right day creates awareness about the rights of children to the children and elders.
Onakho Mbilini, a grade 6 pupil from College Street Primary School, read and handed the memorandum to Councillor Ntombizandile Mhlola who received it on behalf of the Executive Mayor.
One of the key things the children highlighted was the equal education for all children both in public and private schools.
