BCM FESTIVE SEASON SAFETY CAMPAIGN LAUNCH
On Tuesday, 09 December, the Executive Mayor of Buffalo City Cllr Xola Pakati together with the Traffic Department launched the City’s Festive Season Safety Campaign

The Mayor lead a massive roadblock in upper Oxford Street opposite Buffalo FET College.
The City used its Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) bus system which is equipped with technology used to read vehicle number plates and detect offences registered under those vehicles.
The City also procured a cattle impounding truck. The truck is aimed at solving challenges on our roads especially in the King William’s Town area.
The strong message given by Mayor Pakati is for all BCMM residents to adhere to Covid-19 regulations as well as to not drink and drive.
During the festive season roadblocks, the City will be collecting fines through the ANPR bus system whereby summons can now be printed and paid via speed point on site.
