BUFFALO CITY METRO TO HOLD VIRTUAL IDP AND BUDGET ROASHOWS
The Buffalo City Metro will be engaging the public to get inputs on its 2020/2021 financial year Integrated Development Plan and Budget.

The Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality Special Virtual Council on Friday (today) adopted the draft IDP and Budget, paving the way for the document to be published publicly in order to get public inputs.
The new normal, with its strict restrictions on gatherings as a result of Covid-19 lockdown regulations, will see Buffalo City Metro residents for the first time making their submissions for the city’s integrated development plan (IDP) virtually.
In previous years Metro residents gathered in community halls and stadiums to indicate to the City leadership what they wanted to see happening in their wards, and what they want included in the IDP.
But with a ban on gatherings of more than 50 people such meetings will no longer take place, and instead communities have been asked to make their submissions through community radio stations and online platforms.
We are calling on our people to fully engage with our leadership, which will be led by the Executive Mayor Councillor Xola Pakati and participate.
The community radio stations to be utilized are Mdantsane FM, Wildcoast FM, Kumkani FM, Izwi Lethemba FM and Link FM.
Social media platforms to be utilized are the BCM Facebook page, Dispatch LIVE, Keith Ngesi Radio and the BCM Twitter handle.
The WhatsApp line to be used is 076 014 7911.
The email address to be used is: idp.budget@buffalocity.gov.za.
The IDP&Budget has also be made available on the Municipal website https://bit.ly/2XXedD5 . The document will also be available until 19 June 2020 at 10h00 for the public to make more inputs.
Dates and times for the roadshows are attached.
