The programme was aimed at equipping young people of the Metro with knowledge and skills that will help them start their own small businesses to curb unemployment and improve their livelihoods.
Participants were given an opportunity to go through different stalls at the venue, learning from already existing SMMEs how to navigate different industries.
Participants were given an opportunity to rotate among different skills demonstration booths, if they have more than one area of interest. Each booth featured a professional showcasing their trade, offering hands-on learning opportunities where possible, and advice.
The day culminated with National Youth Development Agency and Eastern Cape Development Coporation providing information about their service offering.
