Hundreds of homeowners in Mdantsane were overjoyed yesterday when receiving title deeds from all three spheres of government.

Speaking at the handover ceremony which was held at the NU10 Community Hall, Executive Mayor Cllr Princess Faku said: "Today, we celebrate home ownership. To our beneficiaries, this document you will receive today is not merely a piece of paper, it is a gateway to opportunity."

"It gives you security. It gives you access to the property market. It gives you the right to improve, extend, and invest in your home.

Most importantly, it gives your children and future generations something to inherit; something that carries your name, your effort, and your legacy."
