TOURISM AWARENESS IN NDEVANA

Speaking about the purpose of the day Tourism Marketing Coordinator, Miranda Nofeliti, Highlighted the importance of the awareness, “Our responsibility as a department is to constantly educate citizens of Buffalo City especially the youth about the various opportunities that the Municipality offers in the Tourism, Business, Arts and Culture.” 

She added that some people may not be aware of the various opportunities including trainings for different sectors within tourism, “we want individuals and groups who have ideas but need assistance from us to execute their ideas and plans, also to visit our offices so that we may be able to assist.” 

The awareness was greatly received in the ward as residents came out in great numbers and participated in question-and-answer session as well as a display of their work.

In participation there various sections in the Department including – Events, Arts and Culture, Business and other external stakeholders – Phanda Mzansi were part of the event.
