CITY HOSTS THE ANNUAL KIWANE RESORT RACE
The Buffalo City Metro Tourism, Arts, Culture and Heritage in partnership with the Buffalo City Municipality Athletics Club (BCMAC) is currently hosting its annual Kiwane Resort Race.

The annual Kiwane Resort Race started three years ago. The race comprises a 5 kilometre and 14-kilometre run.

Both activities are held at Tsholomnqa Village (Kiwane Resort) starting with a 14 kilometer run from R72 Sandile Village ending with a 5 kilometer at Kiwane Resort.

The route has been identified as the safe and the best challenging route with exciting cliff.  The event is aimed at attracting both wellness and adventure enthusiasts whilst showcasing the resort as suitable place to visit for peace and tranquility.

The race is not only meant to encourage a healthy lifestyle but to also market the Kiwane Resort and create event attention that the area of Tsholomnqa has to offer.
This event has created temporary employment for more than 10 members from the local community. The Metro pledged to continue with the event.

The hosting of this event is in line with the City’s mandate of promoting initiatives that encourage local economic activities.

The event aimed at exposing and showcase the Kiwane Resort to the participants and supporters, improved marketing of the resort through the profiling of the event, maximise the marketing of the resort and create local short-term jobs
