ISDG HOLDS A TWO-DAY KNOWLEDGE SHARING PROGRAMME
The Buffalo City Metro Municipality's Infrastructure Skills Development Grant (ISDG) Unit is currently holding a two-day workshop on the ISDG programme starting 16 March until 17 March 2023 at the East London Golf Club.

The ISDG graduate programme is a substantial graduate training programme in local government by National Treasury taking on unemployed engineering, planning, GIS and science graduates.

The purpose of the workshop is to share best practices amongst the peers from different municipalities who have an intake of interns funded by the grant.

Senior Manager at the BCM ISD unit Ntombekhaya Lotsha said that the workshop will help supervisors, mentors as well as the mentees to share experiences and also give progress made on the programme including the challenges and how best to tackle those challenges.

On day one, Alfred Ndzo District Municipality, Nelson Mandela Bay Metro and Chris Hani District Municipality shared on their presentations about the lessons learnt, the challenges and the success of the programme in their respective institutions.
