CELEBRATE Easter with various activities in Buffalo City, ranging from exhibitions and picnics, to beachfront flea markets and children's entertainment.
A solo exhibition by Eric Artwell will be on show until 14 April at the Ann Bryant Art Gallery in East London. Artwell's work is influenced by the places he has visited and the people he has met since completing his university studies.
"His artworks are influenced by his travels and observing people and the way they do things," says the gallery. "He is also influenced by rural people and what they do in their daily lives."
Over in King William's Town, there will be music by local artists and artworks on display at Maclean Square. The entertainment will run from Wednesday, 4 April until 7 April.
Children can enjoy themselves at Funky Frogs Indoor Play Centre at Hemingways Mall, just below the Food Court, while their parents shop.
The centre will be open until 30 April. "The Funky Frogs staff will keep an eye on your little one while you do your shopping or have a meal," says the mall.
For more information about the centre, contact Darryn on 083 492 8890 or visit the Funky Frogs website.
For interesting and unusual shopping, there is a weekly flea market on the East London beachfront. The market is a great place to pick up a bargain or shop for a Mother's Day gift.
On sale is a variety of goods, from old and new books, to food and drink, and arts and crafts. There is also a children's section with trampolines and jumping castles. The market is open every Sunday from 9am until 2.30pm.
On Saturday, 7 April, the Guild Theatre will hold a free workshop for all stage technicians who are interested in a basic lighting workshop. The workshop will be conducted by Durban's Michael Broderick at 11am.
Booking is essential as space is limited. Interested parties must contact Zane on 072 415 0828.
