Draft Rates Policy open for comment

RESIDENTS and other interested parties have until 14 May to comment on Buffalo City’s final draft Rates Policy.
Comments will be taken into account before the Rates Policy goes to the council for consideration. It is expected that the policy will take effect from 1 July.
It is available
online, and copies of the document can be viewed at Buffalo City offices from 14 April to 14 May. Office hours are 8am to 4pm.
These offices are: Beacon Bay Branch Office, Beacon Bay Library, Berlin Library, Berlin Municipal Enquiries Office, Bhisho Municipal Enquiries Office, Braelyn Library, Breidbach Library, Buffalo City Municipal General Valuation Information Centre, Buffalo City Municipal Customer Care Services, Buffalo City Municipal Indigent Support, Buffalo Flats Library, Cambridge Library, Central Library, Dimbaza Municipal Enquiries Office, Duncan Village Municipal Enquiries Office, Gompo Library, Gonubie Library, and Gonubie Municipal Enquiries Office.

Any resident who cannot read or write can contact Noleen Bray at the General Valuation Information Centre on 043 722 0240, and the contents of the final draft rates policy will be explained to them. Help will also be given in writing representations or comments.
