INVITATION TO A STAKEHOLDER MEETING

Daimler Chrysler South Africa (DCSA) will be handing over results of a Proposed Expansion Business Case Assessment study for the Port of East London, in a stakeholder meeting to be held on Monday 20, 2006.

The study was undertaken by KPMG for a turn around strategy with regard to the constraints faced by the Port of East London currently.

Executive Mayor of Buffalo City Municipality Councillor Zintle Peter has always regarded the expansion of the Port of East London as part and parcel of the City’s Development Strategy in partnership with all relevant stakeholders including business and parastatals. Such partnerships will ensure economic growth for the City and the Eastern part of the Province.

The assessment report promises to unleash a new chapter in the economic as well as social development of the City.
