Once you have identified the site, you must obtain a locality plan from the Land Administration Division, contact person Ms H van Zyl 043 705 3369, at the Land Administration offices, 4th Floor, Old Mutual Building, Oxford Street, East London, indicating on the plan the portion of land you want to purchase or lease.
Application/letter together with the locality plan may be posted to the Director of Planning & Economic Development, Land Administration Division, P.O. Box 81, East London, 5200.
Your request will then be circulated for comments and, if the land can be sold/leased, a report will be submitted to the council for their decision. In due course, you will be notified of the council's decision.
