Inland Region

Introduction
The Inland Region office is based at the Civic Centre in King William's Town.
Its aim is to ensure that all areas of the region receive equal attention and that municipal services are provided as efficiently and effectively as possible.
Objectives of the Inland Region Office
Co-ordinates all the activities of the municipality in the Inland Region.
Liaises with directorates on technical service delivery issues in the region.
Creates platforms to promote service delivery synergies and rapport among the various directorates executing municipal services in the region.
Supports the institutional local government mandate to ensure the optimal achievement of basic service delivery, local economic development, institutional development and transformation, financial viability and management, good governance and public participation.
Provides strategic input into the municipality's IDP and SDBIP by ensuring that critical service delivery areas for Inland Region are articulated and prioritised.
Monitors and evaluate municipal activities and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management reports on service delivery implementation in the region.
Communicates council and management policies, decisions, directives and objectives to all staff members in the region.
Facilitates communication between communities, business and other stakeholders and promote administrative justice in relation to municipal activities in the region.
Facilitates effective communication on municipal activities and developments in the region with the office of the Municipal Manager on an ongoing basis.
The Inland Region Operations Committee oversees this.
