VALAZONKE PROGRAM CONTINUES
The Metro is accelerating its roads repairing program with a series of works around the City.

The Metro has been hard at work rehabilitating roads, patching potholes, reconstructing and paving. There had been a backlog on roads repairing due to summer rain falls. Our teams are currently conducting repairs at the North East Expressway which is one of the busiest roads in East London carrying thousands of cars and trucks daily. The current road rehabilitation works are to prolong the life of the road.

 

The works includes;

Milling the road surface, laying bitumen treated base layer and asphalt surfacing.

 

Motorists are advised to proceed with caution.
